11:33AM - Settlers of Catan
I was introduced to Settlers of Catan this past week and I want more. That is an ingenious game. So, would anyone be interested in getting together for a game or two in the next couple weeks? I don't have the game, but if need be I would go buy it.
There is a coffee shop very close to me in Highland Park with a nice big back table, or we could do as before and go to south Minneapolis.
Heck, I guess I'd be willing to play anything again too. Whatdya say?

10:08PM - Game Proposal
I would like to propose a date for another get-together.
Date: Wednesday, July 5th
Place: Urban Bean, 3255 Bryant Ave. in Minneapolis
Theme: Board games (must have a board) that can be played completely in 45 minutes or less. This will allow for a few games to be played.
Be there or be doing something else!
I'll post reminders as we get closer to the day.

6:39PM - You know what?
I really want to play Axis and Allies. I haven't had the oppritunity to play in months (almost a year now). Who's willing to play me? We'll figure out the day and time another itme. ^_^

I'm not ready to give up on this idea yet, mostly because the first couple of times were pretty fun. That and I don't have anybody else to play boardgames with, since my friends are sticks-in-the-mud(s?). So I'm proposing having another go at it. If Wednesday night doesn't work, I'm sure we can find some other time that's better. Who's with me?
(Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?!? Hell no!)

5:55PM - So......
Tomorrow being Wednesday (can't put nothin' over on me!), are we getting together like normal?

10:30PM - Got home safe.
So, there were two of us there tonight, and me with my bad memory already forgot the names. Guy with the Cheapass Game: the guy who was following us followed me home, badmouthed you, asked why I put up with you, then badmouthed me. But his method leading from one thing to another was quick and nonsensical.
6:57PM - Recognition and nametags!
You know, I was thinking. How would I recognize anybody at the Urban Bean tonight? That's to say, I haven't actually met any of you before, so... you know.
If I had thought of this earlier, I could have made up some clip-on name badges with peoples user name, real name, and lj-icon on it so that people (especially new-comers) could find one-another and help learn peoples names (I suck at names, so I will likely forget everyone's by the end of the night).
I can still do that for the next one, too, if people support this idea. Let me know!
See you all there! ^_^

Lets start some discussion
What are your favorite 3 board games ?
Mine are: Monopoly, Scrabble & Squad Leader
I'm going to have coffee with a friend tomorrow afternoon, but I think I'd be done in time to still play games for a while tomorrow evening. So who's game? Urban Bean 7:30?

Games were fun last night, even though nothing we played had any boards. *shrug* Thanks to each of you who came. I'm not sure if I can make it at the same time next week, but I definitely want to do that again.
I had too go through the cards that we made last night, some of them are pretty good.

4:26PM - Tomorrow Night
I called Urban Bean and they said as long as we can find a table, we can use their venue.
So, 7:30 tomorrow night (Wednesday). Be there!
Anyone bringing a game? Let me know...if needed I can snatch a game from my parents' house.
here's the address:
Urban Bean Coffeeshop

I have a paper to write tonight. I am also very ADD. So would anyone like to play Yahoo Backgammon or the like some time tonight? I'll check back here regularly, we could set up a time.

1:39PM - Game on
Hey! Sorry I haven't posted for awhile, finals sucked up my life for the past week.
So I was thinking we could meet starting next week. It sounded like most of you would like a place close to South Minneapolis, and I was thinking Urban Bean on Lyndale would be nice with its big tables! If you have any objections or other suggestions, post them!
I know many people wanted it towards the end of the week, but since the night games crew meets Thursdays, I thought Wednesday might be a good compromise.
So next Wednesday at 7pm? Sound good? I never really organized something like this before so I'd appreciate any help getting this together.
Anyone can bring a game they'd like to play.
